Do points and comp ever expire?
Your points and comps will remain available to you as long as you have carded play within a 12 month period.

Can I use points and comps earned at one Ameristar Casino at another Ameristar Casino?
When visiting other Ameristar properties, your Star Awards membership level transfers with you. If you're an Elite member at one Ameristar, you're an Elite member at all Ameristar Casinos. Plus, all your card benefits follow you too. However, point and comp balances earned at one Ameristar Casino can only be used at that casino.

Are there different membership levels?
There are four levels of Star Awards cards that you can earn based on your Base point accumulation. Your Star Awards benefits increase each time you reach a higher card level. We'll let you know if you have been upgraded when you log on to the Star Awards site. If you qualify for an upgrade, all you need to do is print out your upgrade certificate and present it at any Star Awards during your next visit (certificates are valid for 30 days). We may also notify you by mail if you have earned enough points for an upgrade.

What can I do with my points and comps?
How you use your points and comps is entirely up to you. You can accumulate and save points and comps in your account for later use. You can redeem your points for Same Day Cash Back (the minimum level to redeem Cash Back is $5). You can redeem your Comps at Ameristar restaurants and hotels. Plus, you can covert your comps to cash at 50 cents on the dollar, giving you even more control on how you receive your awards. A maximum of $2,500 can be redeemed in Same Day Cash Back or comps per player, per day. Points are non-transferable between separate Ameristar locations.

What are points and how do I earn them?
Star Awards players earn points while playing their favorite games. After inserting your Star Awards card at the slots, you'll be able to watch your point balance increase while you play. On reels and video reel slots, $4 of "coin-in" equals one (1) Base point. It takes $8 of "coin-in" to earn one (1) Base point on all video poker machines.
Table game players earn Base points for their table play. To receive proper credit, be sure to give the dealer your Star Awards card before you begin playing. Please keep in mind that table points may not be available immediately after play.
You can check you point balance at any Ameristar cash redemption or marketing kiosk by swiping your Star Awards card.

How do I redeem points for cash back or comps?
You may redeem your points at Star Awards. Points redeemed for cash back are calculated at 1,250 points for $5. You may redeem your points for cash at specially marked cash redemption kiosks. You may redeem your comps directly at any Ameristar restaurant by presenting your Star Awards card and a valid photo ID to the server. You may also convert your comps for cash at specially marked cash redemption kiosks for 50 cents on the dollar.

Can I use my Star Awards Card at any Ameristar Casino?
You must sign up for a new Star Awards card at each Ameristar property. If you have a Star Awards card from another Ameristar property, simply present it at Star Awards and we will match your tier level.
